The desire to remediate racial inequality motivated the passing of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Unfortunately, despite great gains toward racial equality, race discrimination is still a major source of complaints filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Race discrimination is also no longer a black and white issue. Other protected race classes include Asian, Hispanic, and Middle Eastern. Employers should make managers and employees sensitive to race issues through appropriate training and implementation of race-neutral policies. Brendan Hennessy, Esquire has handled and settled numerous race discrimination cases on behalf of employees and employers and can provide assistance in defending or prosecuting your case.
